"The Boathouse Café"
O'Fallon Park, St. Louis, MO
I work near O'Fallon Park, the second largest park in St. Louis. It sits on the edge of the 21st Ward and has had such a reputation as a crime hotspot that it was shut down for over 20 years. In an effort to get people in the neighborhood to come to the park again, the ward held a jazz festival in the park last evening where I got to see the once-abandoned boathouse café teem with life and people again.
It's sad to know that gems like these exist, yet the public hardly knows about them because of some stupid's thoughtless act of violence that caused it to be shut down in the first place. If all goes well, 10 years later might see couples sitting by the steps, children boating in the lake, the smell of coffee being ground, buoyed by the same afternoon sun, the same Ella Fitzgerald croon..

"St. Patrick's Cathedral"Melbourne, Victoria
I have never been inside any of the church's in Melbourne to take pictures. It was very quiet and a nice place to sit and just contemplate.
