"Ruck Skirmish"
Etihad Stadium, Melbourne
So this is called the 'ruck'. After the referee has bounced the ball (called the footie) off the ground, the ruckmen (who are normally the tallest in the team) vie for it by jumping up and tapping it into their team mate's hands. It's normally quite exciting as the players next to the ruckmen wait in anticipation for the footie.

Jian-beautifully captured! The intensity of the actions, the composition, the colors and contrast--love it. There's a sense of symmetry, even though the subjects aren't really positioned symmetrically :) [Hmm, the floating half-person at the top is a bit random/misplaced though, haha]
i didn't pet him, but i'm sure he wasn't, based on how much petting he got.
