Firefly
Parrish Beach, Swarthmore, PA

Shutter speed: 13
Aperture: f/22

Get it? :) I'm sorry I'm such a nerd.

On my way up to the engineering building, I stopped to watch the fireflies. Kelip-kelip. I haven't seen so many since Malaysia. They were beautiful (but very evasive on camera). It was one of those moments where you get caught up with your surroundings, and you are compelled to look around you and see all the things you usually walk past without noticing. And you notice everything all at once. And then you try to absorb every piece of sensory information from that moment, in the hopes of retaining that feeling of awe and wonder and amazement. There's something extremely primitive about moments like that. Its like hitting a reset button.

Its been a good start to the year. I am finding peace.

From my mental physical spiritual and emotional body
Cause I know that spirit guides me
And love lives inside me
That's why I today I take life as it comes

P.S. ONE MONTH ANNIVERSARY! We're 1/12 of the way there!

"Warmth"
My Room, Melbourne

Aperture: f/4.5
Shutter Speed: 1/25s

I have this light in my room. It is the only source of light. I managed to capture the 'orb effect', i.e the way the light radiates gradually outwards before disappearing. Ok, my room isn't that dark but you get what I mean.

I stare at my light globe sometimes. It's a picture of warmth and calmness. Always there...until the bulb blows.
